Senior Physiotherapist – Spinal

Join our specialist spinal service and work alongside physiotherapists and neurosurgeons to assess, treat and guide patients through their care.

The role

Help patients move through the right care pathway.

You will work within NeuroSpine’s spinal service, applying specialist knowledge and skills across spinal pathology and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The role spans two Dublin clinics and includes direct collaboration with our physiotherapy and neurosurgical teams.

What you’ll do

  • Assess and provide appropriate physiotherapy management for spinal patients.
  • Work with the spinal neurosurgical team to discuss cases and agree appropriate management pathways.
  • Provide assessment, treatment, management advice and education for acute and chronic presentations, from routine to highly complex cases.
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes and adapt care for patients before and after spinal surgery.
  • Use current research and evidence-based practice to inform clinical reasoning and decision-making.
  • Advise and support physiotherapy and multidisciplinary colleagues on clinical practice issues.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and neurosurgeons on the management of spinal conditions.

What you’ll bring

  • A physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Current registration, or appropriate proof of application for registration, with the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working at senior physiotherapist level.
  • The knowledge, clinical judgement and professional ability required to work within a specialist spinal service.
  • A commitment to maintaining annual CORU registration.

Desirable experience

  • A specific interest in spinal pathology and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
  • Experience in spinal manual therapy or dry needling.
