Michael has published over 30 research papers.

Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon since 2008. – Sports Surgery Clinic and Mater Private Hospital. Formed a group multidisciplinary practice, NeuroSpine in 2018.


Eoin Fenton

FRCS (SN)

Consultant Newurosurgeon

Mr. Fenton studied medicine at University College Dublin, graduating in 2004.

He completed specialist training in neurosurgery in Ireland in 2014 and then undertook a dedicated two year combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic spine fellowship at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The University of Calgary Spine Program is the largest spine unit in Canada and performs the largest volume of minimally invasive spine surgery in Canada.

Mr. Fenton was appointed as a consultant spinal neurosurgeon at Blackrock Clinic in 2016 and at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin and Sports Surgery Clinic two years later.

He cofounded NeuroSpine with Mr. Michael Kelleher in 2018.

His interests include adult degenerative spine, spinal tumours, spinal trauma, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal neuronavigation and spinal reconstruction.


Ashraf Abouharb

FRCS (SN)

Consultant Newurosurgeon

Mr Abouharb is a full-time adults consultant Neurosurgeon in the NHS, based in the Royal Victoria Hospital regional Neuroscience unit in Belfast trust. He graduated in 1997 and following a comprehensive European training programme in neurosurgery/EANS, became a consultant and specialist neurosurgeon in 2005.

After completion of 2 years of clinical fellowship in the UK with special interest in Vascular and Spinal neurosurgery, he took a post of a consultant neurosurgeon in 2008. He has been a core active member of multidisciplinary teams (MDT) both locally and regionally, including regional NI neuro oncology group and national British Neurovascular group and started his private practice in 2009 with practicing privileges in Kingsbridge Private Hospital.

Mr Abouharb has experience in the management and treatment of a range of general neurosurgical conditions including Hydrocephalus, Chiari malformation, Head injuries, Peripheral nerves surgery and benign brain lesions including meningiomas. He has also developed experience in minimally invasive spinal surgery including spinal fusion.

Mr Abouharb does not provide consultations for Paediatric Neurosurgery, Pituitary /Acoustic Neuroma lesions, Stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. He is available for private consultations in Kingsbridge Private Hospital.


Nikolay Peev

Lisa Hutcheson

Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

MSc Physiotherapy qualification from Robert Gordon University.

Lisa is a current practicing member of the ISCP who graduated in 2012 with an MSc Physiotherapy qualification from Robert Gordon University. Prior to this Lisa graduated with BSc honours in Health Promotion and Physical activity.

Lisa founded Stamullen Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 2014, she has worked extensively in private practice treating a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. Lisa also completed a Diploma in Orthopaedic and Rheumatological Medicine accredited by NUIG. She has completed a Spinal Manual Therapy certificate with Manual Concepts as well as being qualified in Dry Needling.

Lisa has a special interest in neuromuscular disfunction in patients with spinal pain and this has motivated her to explore a PhD in this area. She recently has completed her APPI Pilates training.


Conor Duffy

CORU

Physiotherapist

Conor is a CORU registered physiotherapist who completed his physiotherapy degree in Robert Gordon University

He has a keen interest in Sports rehabilitation and has experience working with a variety of athletes and teams at inter county level, Leinster Rugby, UFC fighters and Olympic athletes. Conor provides exercise based rehabilitation, soft tissue massage and dry needling.

Conor guides he’s practice by using evidence-based practice in order to optimize patient outcomes

Since graduating Conor has gained experience working in private practice swell as working working in Sports Surgery Clinic.


James Carolan

MISCP

Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist

Sports Science and Health in DCU in 2004. Masters in Physiotherapy in the University of Ulster. Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in the renowned Curtin University in Western Australia.

James has worked with a variety of athletes and teams including UNSW Rugby and AFL Clubs. He has worked with Australian international swimmers, water-polo and judo players. He was involved with 2 international tours in Australia as a physiotherapist.

Since 2014 he worked with both Kildare and Wicklow Gaelic football teams combining these roles with leading the spine service in the Sports Surgery Clinic. Over the past 3 years he has worked as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in NeuroSpine.

James prides himself on educating people about their injuries and enabling people to manage their problems in a timely and self-sufficient manner.
